Tape description	The gold reserves of the Russian Central Bank are kept in a special storage known as GOHRAN of Russian Federation or State Treasury Storage. The footage illustrates the gold and currency reserves maintenance: sorting and storing tons of gold and platinum, precious stones and rare coins; Gohran is one of the most protective and secret places of Russia. Visitors are not allowed here unless they belong to highly ranked government officials. Gohran consists of different department where skilled workers estimate, measure and evaluate valuables. Regardless unbelievable security this place is also known for the greatest fraud ever happened. The trail leads back to the murky circumstances surrounding the fall of the USSR, when western intelligence services fostered financial malfeasance on a colossal scale by high Russian officials The British Guardian newspaper reported in March 1991 that 500 tones of gold had been exported from Russia by the Soviet government, destination unknown, buyer unknown, and purpose unknown. This is the place where the entire Soviet gold reserves of more than 2,000 tones of precious metals were kept. The story of moneylender started right here. This crime remains 'unsolved' to this day despite extraordinary efforts made to solve it, including the hiring of US private investigators, which came up with nothing. After the revolution the royal family’s collection of valuables was transferred to the State Treasury Storage. Later in Soviet times the collection is exhibited at the special place called Diamond Fund located at the Great Kremlin palace. We filmed gold and silver from 12-th to 19-th century, including fabulous Faberge jewelry.
