During its 15-year stint in space, Mir has set endurance and space-adventure records that are going to be hard to beat. Actual footage depicts MIR last destination. Mir was guided to its final resting place by a Progress spacecraft attached to the station. Computers show blazing fragments from the massive complex splashing down in the South Pacific Ocean just as ground controllers had planned.
Filmed is Mir itself, a beautiful but gangly-looking assortment of solar arrays, laboratories and living quarters. The video also shows The Soyuz-TM spacecraft is used to transport crews and cargo to and from the Mir Space Station and the Progress-M spacecraft, a cargo and resupply vehicle used to send science equipment and data to and from Mir.
Also filmed are cosmonauts’ trainings in the Space Center in Russia and the life of cosmonauts on the station in conditions of weightlessness, they play with water and candle fire, catching food with mouth.
