Local people and nature are now a part of the Oil industry. Views of the local Khanty people, one of the ethnic groups still living in the Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous region. A few thousand of these people still live as they always have, as nomadic tent-dwellers all year despite the astonishing cold, surviving by hunting reindeer with dogs, and fishing.
