The footage if filmed during an operation Bakulev cardio-vascular medical center in Moscow . A special device known as Automatic defibrillator is implanted into human body. The device is used to correct serious ventricular arrhythmias that can lead to sudden death. The defibrillator is surgically placed inside the patient's chest. There, it monitors the heart's rhythm and quickly identifies serious arrhythmias. With an electrical shock, it immediately disrupts a deadly arrhythmia.
Leo Bokeriya, the director of Moscow Bakulev cardio-vascular surgery center, performs an operation. Recorded is his interview on arrhythmia, he says that every 4th patient suffers from it, but only ventricle arrhythmia leads to the lethal outcome. Amiran Revishvili tells it’s necessary to undergo an operation to prevent dangerous arrhythmia proliferation. He speaks on mechanical implant systems and demonstrates a cardio stimulator. It is stitched into the patient’s body to indicate all types of arrhythmia and speed up the weak pulse. Also shown is the newest model of the device.
