The Zone is a radioactive area centered on Chernobyl and Pripyat of some 1,000 square miles from which 135,000 people were evacuated in 1986-87. Since then several hundred of the older generation have slowly returned to their homes in the Zone and, in spite of the radioactivity, some have lived there up to five years. The old people say that can't see, taste, smell or touch the invisible deadly radiation, it doesn't bother them.
People come back to abandoned villages around Chernobyl to populate their homes. Do they afraid of radiation, why do they come back? They tell to our crew their life stories. Views of farmers, people gardening, a well with drinking water, rowan tree, fields and houses in a “dead zone” etc…
