Moscow-City is the most luxurious and the most expensive office building in Russia. Futuristic development overlooking the Moskva River costs hundreds of dollars. The centrepiece of Moscow-City will be the Russia Tower. At 648 meters tall, the tower would be the tallest in the world -100 meters taller than Ostankino TV tower. Other buildings of different shapes and sizes are to be built in the nearest future. Dutch architect Eric van Egeraat, whose recent projects include the British Film Institute centre in London, designed the skyscrapers. The skyscrapers will have two dome-like structures, six and thirteen stories high respectively, at their base. Moscow-City, or the Moscow International Business Centre by its full name, is one of the city's largest and most ambitious construction projects. City Hall initiated the development in the early 1990s.
